About IDC

International Defence Conference (IDC) is a high-level platform bringing together senior military leaders, government representatives and defence industry decision-makers to address the strategic challenges shaping the future of national security. Held in Abu Dhabi alongside IDEX, IDC provides a trusted environment for leaders to exchange perspectives, explore emerging threats and technologies, and discuss the defence priorities shaping an evolving global security landscape.

In 2027, IDC will introduce an enhanced programme designed to deepen engagement and create greater opportunities for focused, strategic dialogue. The programme will feature a high-level Opening Plenary, three themed breakout sessions exploring Total Defence, AI and Autonomous Thinking, Adaptability and Resilience, and Command and Control, followed by a Closing Plenary. Complementing the conference, invitation-only roundtables led by Tawazun will provide senior stakeholders with a dedicated setting for closed-door discussion, strengthening IDC’s role as a global convening hub for high-level defence dialogue and strategic partnerships.
